Hi,

The built-in mics in 808 offer a very high quality deep (~20 Hz - 20KHz) sound recording, but the default app that can record stereo  zips the signal to 256 kbps plus cuts down the upper frequences.

When using the Boldbeast with wav encoding, the background noise is flat, without flickering as it is with AAC. It is not disturbing. And the encoding is in 1 536 Kbps, 96 KHz, 16 bits (could be 24 bits tho), which gives a lot of space for editing  and that is a way better sound recording than we can get out of poor CD's 1411 kbps 44.1 KHz.

Is there a chance to get the upgrade from mono to stereo for boldbeast?

Symbian users are less and less, I'm afraid there is no more new features added to Boldbeast Recorder for Symbian.
