I have tried to root many phones but every single fails to one reason or another. So it would be nice that someone Android 11 user could tell which phone you have rooted and also link clear instructions for dummies. I need some new phone to get rooted. I don't want to go back in history with Samsung J5.

Google Pixel 4.  Works like a charm.  Plenty of videos on Youtube.

agree with @GavinSmith, Google Pixel phones. I have Pixel 3a XL. Plenty of videos and instructions. Stock Rom is directly available from Google. Magisk works.
