Hi,
In this phone model (D850) we have bad quality for the other people's voice. From what I have seen this is a problem affecting some variants of the G3.
I tried the stock recorder that comes with some ROMS, and now I'm using Boldbeast, but I have the same bad quality.
Is there a way/setting to fix this?

Please use these settings to record calls for LG G3 D850:

- Record Mode: 4, 1 or 5
- Tune Audio Effect: test Yes and No
- Tune Audio Route: Group3

Does it work well?

Thanks for your reply.

Record mode 4 doesn't work at all.
The other combinations work, but the audio quality is always bad.

My phone is rooted in case you need it.

Please try to use the WAV format, does it work well now without root?

Now that you have rooted your phone, please use these settings to record calls with root:
- Record Mode: 1 or 5
- Tune Audio Effect: No
- Tune Audio Route: Group3
- Change Audio Controls: Yes
- Change Audio Driver: No
- Start Input Stream: test Yes and No

I've tryed all these combinations, the problem still remains.

Please click the "Call Settings - Fix Recording Issues - Ask New Parameters" item in Boldbeast Recorder to send hardware log files to me, let me have a look at them. Thanks.

I checked your log files, but I can't find anything special.
Your ROM is Android 5.0, if you think the audio is not satisfied I suggest you update your ROM to Android 5.0.1 and test again. It seems 5.0.1 works better than 5.0, no root needed.

There is no 5.0.1 stock based rom for this model. I can try some AOSP based rom like CM, but I will lose some functionality.

I saw your Android 5.0 ROM is:
lge/g3_global_com/g3:5.0/LRX21R/1431077049

AT&T released Android 5.0.1 official ROM, many users have upgraded. The ROMs are:
lge/g3_att_us/g3:5.0.1/LRX21Y/D85021q.1433373530
lge/g3_att_us/g3:5.0.1/LRX21Y/D85021r.1439810904

Thanks, I understand.
The rom I'm using is a custom rom CloudyG3, maybe the author forgot to update the version number.
The official page says it's based on Android 5.0.x. So I don't know if it has the latest updates included.
The fact is that I am not interested in using stock firmwares :(
Anyway I'll let you know.
Would be great to flash only the audio related updates, like with baseband/modem, I bet it's not possible in this case.
