Hi Support,

I'm using your software on my Nokia E7 and noted the file name of the Phone Call Clips was recorded wrongly when the subsequent call was a non-display number it recorded the previous caller's details as the default Phone Call Clip File Name, instead of recorded as "Non-display Number",please check and advise if you can correct this problem ?

Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks !

Jack

Thank you very much.
We'll check it, and fix it in future versions.

Hi Support,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I've tested the software on E7 and found the following problems:

(1) At the beginning of the incoming call's recording there is always "distortion" and cannot hear clearly ?

(2) If the incoming call is from a "Non Display Number" the Phone Call Clips File Name will be recorded wrongly using the previous caller's details.

(3) Can you provide the "duration" of the call in the Phone Call Clips listing?

Please check and advise if you can correct/improve the above problems ?

Best Regards,
Jack

(1) At the beginning of the incoming call's recording there is always "distortion" and cannot hear clearly ?
Answer: We don't find this problem on our phones. We have no idea about this currently.

(2) If the incoming call is from a "Non Display Number" the Phone Call Clips File Name will be recorded wrongly using the previous caller's details.
Answer: As said above, we'll fix it in the future versions.

(3) Can you provide the "duration" of the call in the Phone Call Clips listing?
Answer: In the Phone Call Clips list every entry has two lines, the first line is "Tele Number + Contact", currently the second line is "Time + Note", we think maybe this is more informative.

This bug will be fixed in the coming version.

Boldbeast Nokia Call Recorder 2.9 is now available, the bug is fixed, please update your software.

8

Hi Support,

As advised, I've updated your software to V 2.9 but regret to inform you that the Phone Call Clips Name was still recorded wrongly as it always recorded my "first contact details" as the caller's name and the telephone number shown as "00000000" for incoming calls from "Private Number"/"Non Display Numbers" ??  Please re-check and fix the bug promptly!

Besides, may I suggest to improve the (Added options to include "I" or "O" in the recorded clip file name to clearly indicate incoming call/outgoing call.) by putting them under two sub-menu or use two different colour text for the INcoming and OUTgoing calls, I think it will be easier for user find the clips he wants.

Awaiting for your kind attention and early reply.

Best Regards,
Jack

(1) When you answer a incoming call which has a Private Number/Non Display Number, Boldbeast will always use "00000000" as the telephone number of this call. Then Boldbeast will search the contact name by "00000000" in your phone book, generally Nokia phones use the last 7-digit telephone number to match contact entries. If there is a entry like "AAA 1350000000" in your phone book, it will return "AAA" as the contact name. If no entry found the contact name will be empty.

(2) In phone call clip list screen, every item has "IN" or "OUT" displayed, you can clearly know which one is incoming call, which one is outgoing call. Further more you can use Search function to conveniently get only incoming calls or only outgoing calls, or find some calls conditionally.

Hi Support,

With regard to your reply, I would like to reply as follows :

(1) My First Contact details is  "XX XX  **p123456789012"  but is was USED and RECORDED as  "XX XX 00000000" by the software whenever there is any PRIVATE NUMBER/NON DISPLAY NUMBER incoming calls, and I do NOT have any BLANK contact with empty phone number in my contact list, please advise how to resolve the problem and fix the bug ??

Best Regards,
Jack

We tested on Nokia C7, but we don't see this problem.

Please check your phone book:

contact1: "contact name=XX XX  TeleNumber=**p123456789012",
contact2: "contact name=XX XX  TeleNumber=????0000000"
contact3: "contact name=XX XX  TeleNumber1=11111111 TeleNumber2=????0000000 TeleNumber3=2222222222"

Does contact2 or contact3 (with a telephone number like "????0000000")  exists?

I dont like your feature of phone call recording which starts at the dailing phase in your new ver 2.90. I dont understand any use of recording the ring tone. I think if some user wants it, it can be made optional. I strongly recommend to make it optional in your new version

13

We'll consider it.

With regard the the start of the recording at the dialing point (as in ver 2.9).
Please either leave Boldbeast as it is now or offer an option of start point in the menu.  For those of us with car bluetooth system that are not A2DP compatible (and therefore still sound a beep), it is much better that the beep happens before the call is answered. Many times people thought they were receiving a fax and started their fax machine.
I appreciate that IF the beep problem is fixed for everyone, then the start on answer would be better, BUT as it hasn't been fixed yet, the start on dialing is MUCH better.

A great product - please keep on trying to find a solution to the beep with other bluetooth systems.

Thanks Boldbeast,
Added an option to select start recording from the dailing phase or from the connected phase.

Boldbeast Recorder 3.0 has added this option, please update your software to 3.0.
