If your SCH-I545 is running Android 5.0.1, the settings above still work perfectly, no root needed, just install the app and go.
There is a bug inside the Android 5.0.1 ROM, fortunately Boldbeast Recorder can bypass it.
In the app please set the option "Call Settings - Incoming Calls - Auto Detect Max Time (Seconds)" to 3, then everything is OK.

I have a Samsung S4 I545 running OS 4.3 from Verizon...I cannot find a call recorder that works on this phone. I tried the settings suggested but it just does not work. Any ideas?
You should uninstall all other recorders, then test again.
