Huawei Mate 9 MHA-L09, MHA-L29 etc, does call recording work well?

The phone has not been available in the market so far, we don't know if call recording work well or not. However because the phone uses the Hisilicon Kirin 960 chipset, as usual the call recording feature most possibly will be disabled by Huawei, as a result most recorders in the market will not work well.

If Huawei disables the call recording feature the same way as Huawei Mate 8, Boldbeast Recorder can bypass the limit, so it will work great, no root needed.

We'll update the topic when the phone is available in the market.

Huawei Mate 9 / Mate 9 Pro are available in the market now, please use these settings in Boldbeast Recorder to record calls:

- Record Mode: 1 or 5
- Tune Audio Effect: No
- Tune Audio Route: Group3

No root needed, it works well.

UPDATE
=======
If you have upgraded to Android 8.0,
- old versions of Boldbeast no longer work.
- Boldbeast Recorder V10.8 and newer versions work great.

We have no feedback from users about bluetooth so far.
Many phones have bluetooth recording problems because of a bug in the ROM. If Huawei Mate 9 has the same problem you should root the phone, then we can try to fix it.

Updated
=======
A user told me if you set "Tune Audio Route" to Group3 bluetooth recording has problems, if you set "Tune Audio Route" to Group1 bluetooth recording works great, no root needed.

Hi thanks!

Hi:)

I am using the Huawei Mate 9 and I did follow your setup for this app to wor well. However, I'm still facing problems when I use a wired earpiece or Bluetooth to record. I couldn't record (no sound at all).

Is there any walkabout to this?

Thanks!:)

Other users said Bluetooth works well, no root needed.
Don't know why it doesn't work for you. If the problem is always there, I'm afraid you should root the phone.

Please update Boldbeast Recorder in your phone to the latest version (currently V10.7), at once it records calls crystal clear in two sides.

Two days ago I have upgraded to Android 8.0. After upgrade call recorder stopped working. I am getting the message that I have to either uninstall other recorders or stop them. But I do not have other call recorder installed so I don't know what to do. Memo recorder is still working though.

My problem is that I do not know how to do it in Oreo menus so it is not why but how?  I have disabled all in settings/smart assistance/voice control,  but still nothing. BTW I have tried to implement the advices from the troubleshooting page but I could not find any of those settings on my phone. Could not find how to disable OK GOOGLE also. With Oreo, when I swipe to the left of the home screen I have whole page of google services including google widget same as on the home screen.

Some phones may have different setting options.

This is the official way to disable OK Google: https://support.google.com/websearch/an … 1948?hl=en

To disable Huawei Voice Assistant, if setting options in this page http://www.boldbeast.com/android/call_r … oting.html are different from your phone, please read the user manual of your phone, or ask Huawei for helps.

I give up. When I search for OK Google on my Mate9 with Oreo update I can not find it at all.  I can not find a way to disable Google Assistant. And I can not find any of proposed menus from your help page for Huawei phones. Sorry but I do not have time for this. I have installed other software which works perfectly without any problems.

Finally! After last update, everything is working again!
